Reports in Spain this morning suggest that Real Madrid could be prepared to part ways with Isco and James Rodriguez in the summer.
Both players have struggled for form this season and the club are beginning to question their attitude, according to AS.

With Gareth Bale currently out injured, both men have been given the chance to fill the void left by the pacey Welshman, but neither has impressed.

James joined Madrid from Monaco on the back of some outstanding performances for Colombia at the 2014 World Cup. Under Carlo Ancelotti, James was consistently outstanding, adapting to an unfamiliar position, playing slightly deeper in midfield than he had been used to.

But since the start of this season, the Colombian's performances have fallen off a cliff. He has been less than exemplary off the field too, having recently been hit with a fine of over ?10,000 for failing to stop for the police while driving to training on New Year's day. However, AS claim that Real are hopeful that manager Zinedine Zidane will be able to get the best out of the 24-year-old, and would rather hang onto James for the time being. But with Manchester United known to be big admirers, a substantial bid for the former Porto man could yet see him move to Old Trafford.

The situation with Isco, AS reports, is quite different. They believe that Madrid have run out of patience with the talented Spaniard, and will listen to offers for him this summer.

Isco moved to the capital from Malaga in 2013 and, despite some glimpses of brilliance, he has failed to perform to the consistent level expected with Los Blancos. With the club believed to be willing to cash in on the 23-year-old Spain international, there will be no shortage of suitors. Manchester City are likely to be interested; the Citizens tried to bring Isco to the Etihad three years ago, before the player opted to move to Madrid.
