The beta version of Apple Music for Android made it to Google Play Store back in November, but few major updates were released since then.

The good news is Android users who take advantage of Apple's music service will now be able to benefit from a new feature that won't be available on iPhones anytime soon.

The most important change included in the update is the option to download songs directly to an SD card, so users will be able to listen to music when offline.

As mentioned earlier, this feature will not be included in the iOS application since the iPhone does not come with microSD card slot for memory expansion.

Browse music by composers and compilations

Apart from this significant improvement, the Android application also includes a few other minor changes, such as the option to see the full schedule of Beat 1 shows, which makes it easier to tune in to favorite shows.

Also, Android users will now be able to browse My Music by composers and compilations, which will allow them to find music like classical albums or movie soundtracks.

Keep in mind that while Apple Music is available for free, the music service features a $10 monthly subscription fee (individual), or $15 per month for a family of up to six users.

The subscriptions mentioned earlier will provide you with access to a huge catalog of music that contains more than 30 million songs.

The good news is Android users will also be able to take advantage of a 3-month free trial before being required to pay the subscription fee.

If you haven't tried out the music service yet, you can now download Apple Music for Android for free via Google Play Store. The application should be fully compatible with all devices running Android 4.0 and up.
