New Chelsea signing Loic Remy, has vowed to prove Liverpool wrong, after a move to Anfield fell through.

The striker was very close to completing a move from Queens Park Rangers to the Reds, but an anomaly in the wall of his heart was discovered during his medicals.

Brendan Rodgers chose not to go ahead with the deal and instead signed Mario Balotelli from AC Milan.

?I did not understand Liverpool?s decision. It was not very honest from their side. I was not scared. I know exactly what I have, I met all the specialists in the world,? he told the Sun.

?A lot of players share the same situation as mine and Liverpool know it.?

The 27-year-old also admits he will not be first choice under Jose Mourinho, but is ready to work hard to force himself into the Portuguese?s plans.

?I am proud to wear the Chelsea shirt. There is a coach there able to help my progression. It?s the ideal team for me,? he added.

?I know I am not in the starting XI but nothing is fixed. When you want it, you are able to do it.?
