The Police in Kafur Local Government Area of Katsina State on Tuesday arrested two suspected cow rustlers and recovered 14 cows in the area.

Mr Aminu Sadiq, the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Kafur that the suspects were arrested on Sunday on Kafur market day.
He said that some suspects had robbed one herdsman in Zamfara and raped his wife and daughter anf made away with their cows.

The PRO explained that the victim trailed his cows to the Kafur weekly market.

?After identifying them, the victim reported to the police, who consequently arrested the two suspects.

?The suspects are now in police custody while investigation is in progress,?? Sadiq said.

He urged the people to always report suspicious movements to the nearest police authorities and cautioned them against taking laws into their hands.

NAN reports that many victims of cattle rustlers are now trooping to Kafur with the hope of recovering their stolen cows.
