Microsoft has just released a new version of its Edge browser for iOS, and this time it’s not the iPhone the one that gets all the love, but Apple’s iPad tablet.

Microsoft Edge, which debuted as a Windows 10-exclusive, finally gets support for Split view on the iPad, which means that the browser can now run side by side with another app on the tablet.

Long-time Windows users might remember that a similar split view feature was available on Windows 8 devices as well, and on the iPad, it works pretty much the same. You can have two apps running on the screen all the time, and you are allowed to choose how much of each app you want to see. Apps are automatically resized and the interface is tweaked to fit the screen estate that you configure.

With this update, Microsoft Edge supports this mode as well, so you can browse a website while posting on Twitter for instance, without having to toggle between apps.
