Microsoft has launched a new cheaper Surface Book 2 in the United Kingdom and other European markets like France and Germany, after the company previously released the same entry-level configuration in the United States as well.
With this new version, Microsoft makes its new-generation Surface Book available to many more buyers, without compromising the performance of the device in any way.
As compared to the previous entry-level Surface Book 2 configuration, this cheaper version only comes with 128GB of storage instead of 256GB, and given the plethora of connectivity options, including USB, this isn’t such a big drawback. You can always connect external USB storage devices or use cloud power to overcome this storage cut.
Instead, those in the United Kingdom get a price drop from £1,499 to £1,199, and the new Surface Book should be priced similarly in the rest of European markets as well.
