Senate Public Accounts Committee Chairman Ahmad Lawan yesterday said the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) must conduct elections in the Northeast next year.

Lawan, who represents Yobe North, condemned INEC?s statement that it needed security clearance to conduct elections in Adamawa, Borno and Yobe states.
