Antonio Conte makes demands to stay at Chelsea

With interest from the likes of Inter Milan emerging, Chelsea are determined to keep hold of manager Antonio Conte, after a fantastic debut season with the Premier League club. Conte has now told owner Roman Abramovic exactly what he has to do to keep hold on the Italian.
47 year old Conte has completely rejuvenated Chelsea this season, leading them to a ten point lead with eleven games to play, after struggling massively in the Premier League last season. With the trophy for this season seemingly in the bag, Conte's attention is turning to next season, where he wants Chelsea to be challenging for the Champions League too.

Chelsea are keen to get Conte to stay at Stamford Bridge until 2021, but The Times today claims that Conte has told Abramovich that for him to agree a new deal with the club, he needs a guaranteed transfer budget of £200 million, in order to construct a squad capable of European glory.

There has been interest in players such as Courtois and Costa in recent months, and Conte wants to sign players that can go straight into the starting lineup and improve his side, as opposed to just adding depth. The fact that clubs are showing interest in Conte may help him get the funds that he is after.
