Premier League leaders Chelsea are prepared to offload Asmir Begovic to Bournemouth in the January transfer window. The Blues will look to recruit Newcastle United's Tim Krul as backup.
Begovic is currently in talks over a potential move to the Cherries, and deal is likely to be finalized, should Eddie Howe's match the £12m valuation of the player.

According to The Guardian, Krul has been identified as a potential replacement at Stamford Bridge with manager Antonio Conte not keen to rely upon summer recruit Eduardo.

Krul, who is currently on a season-long loan at Ajax, has failed to make a single appearance this term, and it is understood that the Blues could seek to sign him before the transfer deadline.

The Holland international appeared in just eight games in the Premier League last term as a cruciate knee damage restricted his chances of helping Newcastle beat the drop.
