Lamar Odom Checked Himself into Rehab One Year After Overdose

Lamar Odom has come a long way in his recovery process after suffering from a tragic overdose incident last year. The former NBA star nearly lost his life last year after being hospitalized for an overdose, as he was originally found unconscious at a brothel in Las Vegas. A year since being released from the hospital, Odom has now reportedly checked himself into a rehabilitation clinic in San Diego, California.
The basketball player is looking forward to moving towards the “next chapter of his life,” according to a source who spoke to E! News.

The source reports, “It was his own decision. He wanted to work on his mental and physical health for the next chapter of his life. He has not fallen off the wagon, but he understands the importance of maintaining his sobriety.” The recovery process was certainly not an easy one for Odom, as reports surfaced of the baller being seen at multiple bars in Los Angeles. Many were worried that he had fallen off the wagon again, but fortunately, that has not been the case.

If you recall, the Kardashians, including his ex-wife, Khloe Kardashian, were supportive of Lamar following his hospital stay. The 32-year-old helped Odom get a new house to stay in, and brought him to many public events in the last year. The two eventually finalized their divorce, and have officially moved on from their former marriage. We will keep Lamar in our prayers as he begins his treatment in rehab.
