Samsung discontinued the production and sale of the Galaxy Note 7, following multiple reports of units catching fire. While several investigations are currently ongoing, Samsung will also focus on retrieving Note 7 units from customers.
Owners of Galaxy Note 7 smartphones can contact the place of purchase for receiving a full refund or picking another smartphone from the retailer or carrier’s lineup.

Those who purchased the Galaxy Note 7 smartphone directly from Samsung have the option to get a full refund or exchange their phones for a Galaxy S7 or S7 edge.

Many retailers and carriers are offering incentives to help convince owners to return their phones, while some customers can even keep freebies that they received for the purchase of a Note 7. In addition, some retailers like Amazon have announced that customers can return their Note 7 smartphones, even if the 30-day return window ended. They can also return accessories purchased for the Galaxy Note 7.
