Rihanna’s second performance of the night at the MTV Video Music Awards earned a smile from Kanye, and cheers from the crowd, as she ran through a dancehall medley that proved why she’s deserving of the night’s Vanguard Award.

By the time she closed with everyone’s favorite summer anthem, “Work,” the block party RiRi had happening on stage was in full effect. And the Navy was here for it. So was pretty much everyone else—Rihanna on stage at the VMAs, twerking in a du rag and grabbing her crotch? What’s not to love?

Working her bad girl, give no f—s aesthetic with this performance, RiRi adequately proved why she’s the girl every woman wants to hang with and every dude wants to be with. Confident, cool and sexy came to win the crowd over with her second performance, which was even more electric than the first.
