No fewer than 15 persons have been confirmed dead, while four others were seriously injured in an auto crash that occurred on Akure-Owo expressway on Thursday.
The accident occurred between Amurin and Uso in Owo local government area of the state.

It was learnt that the road crash involved a Hummer bus, with plate number FG 357 BOT, Toyota Camry with Reg number LRS 163 AAA and a Toyota Previa bus.

It was also gathered that the occupants of the three vehicles involved in the accident were burnt beyond recognition.

The remains of the victims have been deposited at the mortuary of the Federal Medical Centre, Owo.

The four survivors who were rescued by men of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), were also taken to Federal Medical Centre, Owo for medical attention.

As at the time of this report, men of FRSC were busy evacuating the burnt vehicles from the road to allow free flow of traffic along the ever busy road.
