The Senate has vowed to investigate former Presidents, Olusegun Obasanjo, Goodluck Jonathan as well as ministers who served under them over alleged violation of Abuja land grab scandal. Chairman of the Senate Committee on Federal Capital Territory,FCT, Senator Dino Melaye while addressing newsmen on Wednesday said the current government of change was prepared to send all past leaders and their Ministers involved in the violation of the nation?s capital master plan "to Kuje Prison."

Melaye wondered why the then FCT Minister would allocate green areas designed for flood drains, city buffers, recreations, urban farming, reserved land and undevelopable areas to themselves and their friends. According to Melaye, the Senate was extending its probe to the former Presidents because by the law establishing the FCT, the President is the governor-general of FCT and responsible for appointing a minister to administer the city on his behalf.
