Windows 10 is automatically downloaded on Windows 7 and 8.1 PCs where an upgrade reservation has been made, but recently it has emerged that Microsoft puts all installation files on computers with or without a reservation, just in case users want to upgrade.

But what?s worse is that Windows 10 has attempted to install on all these computers in the last few weeks, and according to a report by Forbes, Microsoft has confirmed that the operating system tried to launch the installer without specifically asking users for permission.

According to the source, some users were asked to reboot their computers because of pending updates, but after the restart occurred, the Windows 10 install was automatically started. Others, however, didn?t even see the Windows 10 upgrade message but only spotted in Control Panel > Windows Update > View update history that the OS tried to install several times but always failed.

The photo you see here comes to confirm that Windows 10 repeatedly tried to install to no avail, with a total of 31 different attempts between August 10 and September 4.
