Nigerian women?s basketball team, D?Tigress, will play in the final of the women?s basketball event of the All Africa Games, after they defeated Angola 61-59.

Having qualified by beating Gabon 73-65, the Nigerian ladies put up an impressive performance against the Angolans, who many saw as favourites.

Angola beat Cameroon 58-51 in the quarter-finals.

D?Tigress won the first quarter 22-20, but the Angolans took the second quarter 16-12. The South Africans continued their streak in the third quarter, before Nigeria rallied back to win 17-10 in the last quarter.

Scott Nnaji?s team will now contest the gold medal match.
