Capital One Cup: MK Dons thrash Manchester United 4-0
« on: August 27, 2014, 09:35:00 AM »

MK Dons have dumped Manchester United out of the Capital One Cup second round, after a 4-0 victory on Tuesday night.

Louis van Gaal opted to go for a mix of fringe players, starting the game with Danny Welbeck, Javier Hernandez, Anderson and Shinji Kagawa.

It was Johnny Evans? error that allowed Will Grigg score the opener from close range. The striker made it 2-0 with a chested effort, before Arsenal loaneee grabbed a second-half brace to complete United?s humiliation.

Van Gaal is yet to win a competitive game in charge of the Premier League side, who entered this stage of the competition because they are not playing in Europe this season.
