Caitlyn Jenner fatigue is real and it?s already making its first victim: Jenner?s E! docuseries I Am Cait, which documents Jenner?s gender transition in what has been dubbed a revolutionary TV production. Ratings for the series has dropped by more than half for the second episode, Entertainment Weekly confirms.

Caitlyn was born Bruce Jenner and his transition to female has been a hot topic in the industry for approximately a couple of years, first as a nasty rumor in the gossip media, then as a certainty. Bruce came out as trans-woman in April and introduced Caitlyn in June, and both moments were golden ones in the history of the LGBT community, generating unprecedented interest.

Somehow, I Am Cait didn?t meet these expectations. If anything, it performed even worse than a Kardashian show with not much drama to show, getting only 2.7 million viewers on the day of release. DVR playback brought the number up to 3.9 million.

The second episode of the docuseries, which aired last Sunday, was marked by a major drop in ratings, with only 1.3 million people tuning in to see it.

To make matters even worse, reviews for it weren?t excellent either, with critics, viewers and LGBT activists saying that Caitlyn?s privilege made it impossible for her to be the voice of the LGBT community she claimed or aspired to be.
