WhatsApp Inc. published a new version of its very popular WhatsApp Messenger app for iPhone users, version 2.12.5, bringing a great number of new features and performance improvements.

Let's start with the noteworthy features first, as WhatsApp Messenger 2.12.5 finally adds per chat custom notification settings, as well as mute support, available now when you swipe an active chat in the chat list from right to left and tap the "More" button.

The new WhatsApp for iOS app also adds support for attaching videos in chat backups, automatically loads earlier messages of an active chat on scroll, improves the design for cropping videos and photos, improves VoiceOver support, and lets users mark chats and unread or read (available when swiping an active chat in the chat list from left to right.
