Microsoft launched yet another application for iOS.

The new application is called Send and according developers it's been designed for ?in-and-out email.? But Send is more than an email client for iOS devices, as the application also offers instant messaging functionality.

?While tools like text messaging and IM are great for short messages, you often don?t have your co-worker?s cell phone number or an IM app on your work phone.

And we?ve heard loud and clear from people at work, they want all their communications available in Outlook?even if they send them from other apps,? says the Outlook team in a blog post.

Basically, with Send, users will be able to receive and send quick text messages, aside from emails. So, instead of opening up your email client to send a very short message, you will now be able to send in instant message using Send.

This is especially useful when you don't have the recipient's phone number, so you can use any of the instant messengers already available on the market.
Send instant messages to contacts without phone numbers

With Microsoft's new application you can send messages without having to fill in a subject line. You don't even need to follow any email-specific layout in order to send a message.

Obviously, there will be no signatures or salutations since Send has been developed with simplicity in mind. According to Microsoft, the main objective was to make conversations fast and fluid while keeping the people important to users at its core.

It's also worth mentioning that Send connects to Office 365 business and school email accounts to scan all the frequent and recent contacts.

Moreover, Send will not show all your emails, just those that were started within the application. Also, all Send messages comply with user's organization's email compliance policies, as they are marked as work emails.

Basically, this means that all conversations in Send are synced with Outlook, thus allow users to continue the conversation from anywhere. On top of that, users can send messages to anyone with an email address.

You can now download Send for iOS for free via App Store. The application should be fully compatible with all devices powered by iOS 8.0 or later.
