« on: June 02, 2015, 03:08:12 PM »
Cuba is no longer on the terrorist list. Top U.S. lawmakers say embassies could open in Havana, and Washington within a matter of weeks.
U.S. President Barack Obama asked that Cuba be taken off the terrorist list 45 days ago. The U.S. Congress had the past six weeks to fight removal, but chose not to.It?s been a long time coming, but the United States has finally removed a significant barrier with Cuba, an important step toward reestablishing diplomatic ties between the two nations.
