The Federal Government has declared Friday May 29, 2015 as Public Holiday to celebrate the 2015 Democracy Day.

The Minister of Interior, Abba Moro, made the declaration on behalf of the FG in a statement signed by the ministry?s Permanent Secretary, Abubakar Magaji, on Monday in Abuja.

The minister urged Nigerians at home and the diaspora to support the incoming government and to pray for the success of Nigeria?s democratic process.

Moro used the opportunity to congratulate President Goodluck Jonathan and Nigerians for the successful conduct of the 2015 general elections.

He also congratulated the President-elect, Muhammadu Buhari, on his electoral victory, wishing his administration good luck.
