Samsung to launch Galaxy Note 10 in August

Samsung has just confirmed that its next Galaxy Note 10 generation would see daylight on August 7 as part of the company’s typical Unpacked event in New York City.

The Note 10 press event will take place at 4 PM EST and could witness the unveiling of two different versions of the device, one of which could be either called Note 10+ or Note 10 Pro.

While Samsung has obviously avoided to provide any specifics on the Note 10, the press invite does suggest that we should expect changes in the pen and camera departments.

S Pen upgrades coming with the Note 10
Upgrades to the S Pen are something that makes sense, but on the other hand, the single-lens camera that Samsung included in the press invite made many believe that the company could actually put a camera in the stylus.

This is unlikely to be the case, and the camera that you see in the photo most likely refers to the redesigned cutout that now sits in the middle of the screen, and not in the top right corner as on the Galaxy S10+.

The Note 10 generation will thus comprise two models, one featuring a 6.3-inch screen and a second one equipped with a 6.75-inch display. The latter will be the star of the show, with upgraded specs as compared to the smaller sibling, and leaks suggested that it could feature as much as 12 GB of RAM.

Samsung could also pledge to some less exciting changes, such as the removal of the headphone jack, as the company could insist for wireless headphones or a USB Type-C replacement on the next model. If this happens, the S11 could come in early 2020 without a headphone jack as well.

The Note 10 unveiling event will be live-streamed online on Samsung’s official website.
