Manchester United to sell Alexis Sanchez

Manchester United could reportedly listen to offers for Chilean forward Alexis Sanchez this winter after his failure to make an impact with the club.
The 29-year-old joined the Red Devils from Arsenal during the 2018 winter transfer window after they agreed to sanction the departure of Henrikh Mkhitaryan to the Gunners in a straight swap agreement.

However, the attacker has since struggled to provide consistent performances on the playing field and he was recently axed from the matchday squad for the game at West Ham United.

According to The Star, United boss Jose Mourinho has had enough with the forward, who has failed to live up to his expectations and he is prepared to sanction the Chilean's sale at the earliest opportunity.

Nonetheless, the move may not be straightforward with Sanchez said to command a league-record £500,000-a-week and the forward may have to take a hefty paycut, if he is to pursue a fresh challenge.

Sanchez is said to have been left fuming after being shockingly dropped for the Hammers game despite making the London trip and he is already understood to regret the decision to join United in the first place.
