Samsung Galaxy S9 to Launch on February 26

Samsung will take the wraps off its next Galaxy S model on February 26, according to a new leak, while the first units will be shipped to customers on March 16.

Evan Blass, also known as @evleaks, posted the schedule on Twitter, saying it comes from a C-level executive at a major case-maker. According to this leak, the Galaxy S9 will see daylight on February 26, before going up on pre-order on March 1. Shipping will kick off on March 16.

Samsung itself has already confirmed the Galaxy S9 will be unveiled at MWC, and it’s believed the South Korean firm might try to steal the show by taking the wraps off its devices one day before its kickoff. This could mean that the unveiling could actually take place on Sunday on February 25, though this date could obviously depend on the time zone.

Samsung, however, typically introduces its flagship devices in separate events, and the company has a history of unveiling important models on the Sunday before major shows like MWC.
