– Ekiti state government has denied shutting down a bank branch in the state after it detained wife of former aviation minister Femi Fani-Kayode

– Governor Fayose’s chief press secretary Idowu Adelusi said the allegations were not true because the government had nothing against the bank

Governor Ayodele Fayose has dismissed EFCC allegations

Ekiti state governor Ayodele Fayose has denied claims by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) that his government shut down an Access Bank branch for detaining wife of former aviation minister Femi Fani-Kayode.

In a statement by his Chief Press Secretary Idowu Adelusi made available to NAIJ.com on Wednesday, October 19, Adelusi said the government had nothing against the bank and therefore had no reason whatsoever to shut it down.

“The attention of the state government has been drawn to rumours making the round, especially on social media that Ekiti State Government has shut down‎ a branch of Access Bank in Ado-Ekiti, the state capital.
